Powerful Investigative Tool Now Available to Government Sector

TransUnion (NYSE: TRU) announced a partnership today with Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, to serve as a sales agent for TransUnion and its business with government agencies. Carahsoft will enable TransUnion’s delivery of its investigative and risk management tool, TLOxp®, to the public sector via its NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) contract.

“We are pleased to partner with Carahsoft to offer government agencies the most powerful technology in the market for locating and researching connections between individuals, businesses and assets,” said Kevin Kottman, vice president of TransUnion’s government information solutions group. “Government agencies face vast challenges in trying to prevent improper payments resulting from waste, errors, and fraud.

“We now have the opportunity to provide our investigative solution, which offers government agencies a 360-degree view of vendors, businesses and individuals by aggregating public and private information in a consolidated look at current and historical information. This tool can help agencies authenticate identities, detect fraud, reduce financial losses, and protect the interests of its citizens.”

TLOxp is a streamlined, custom, scalable investigative and risk management tool used for due diligence, threat assessment, identity authentication, fraud prevention and detection, legislative compliance, and debt recovery.

“With the addition of TLOxp to our offerings, we are now able to offer government agencies and investigators with fast access to actionable intelligence,” said Michael Shrader, vice president of emerging technologies at Carahsoft. “We look forward to working with the TransUnion team to drive demand for their products throughout the public sector market place.”
