TransUnion Healthcare’s Insurance Discovery Solution Receives “A” Grades in 2019 Best in KLAS Software and Services Report

TransUnion Healthcare announced that its Insurance Discovery solution was recognized by KLAS®, a global research and insights firm addressing the healthcare IT (HIT) industry. TransUnion’s Insurance Discovery solution scored a 90.5 out of 100 to secure an “A” or “A-“ in all categories graded (Culture, Loyalty, Operations, Product, Relationship, and Value) in the 2019 Best in KLAS Software and Services Report.

Insurance Discovery is part of TransUnion Healthcare’s Revenue Protection suite of solutions. These solutions help hospitals prevent revenue leakage by engaging patients early, ensuring earned revenue gets paid, and optimizing collection strategies. TransUnion Healthcare works with more than 1800 hospitals and health systems and has recovered over $5.2 billion in net revenue and cash to date for its entire client base.

“Since these rankings are entirely based on the opinions of the providers we serve, TransUnion Healthcare is honored to be included in the KLAS report for our Insurance Discovery solution,” said Dave Wojczynski, president of TransUnion Healthcare. “We are committed to continually providing exceptional Revenue ProtectionSM solutions and receiving the distinction of an “A” in these categories helps validate the benefits our customers receive.”

The TransUnion Healthcare Insurance Discovery solution leverages a proprietary database and patented data matching technology to search for missed valuable coverage across a provider’s entire set of patient accounts, including non self-pay accounts.

In reference to the TransUnion Healthcare Insurance Discovery solution, a customer interviewed by KLAS commented, “eScan was implemented quickly and painlessly…Our ROI has exceeded our expectations. Part of my … vendor strategy is protecting all the revenue of our organization, and eScan has been helping me do that since day one… My message to my colleagues is that there is nothing to lose by using this product and everything to gain in terms of protecting revenue.”

The holistic Insurance Discovery solution does more than just convert self-pay accounts to an insured status. It also reviews Medicaid accounts to identify Medicare or Commercial coverage that should be billed as primary, and identifies Medicare/Medicaid dual eligible accounts for cost report preparation. Complementary Revenue Recovery capabilities include Accounts Receivable Recovery and Denial Management, Medicare Cost Reporting, Payment Integrity, and Self-Pay Collection solutions that drive efficiency, maximize reimbursements and improve cash flow. TransUnion Healthcare’s Revenue Protection suite also includes Patient Access and Patient Payment Estimation solutions, which help providers improve the patient financial experience by enabling payment transparency, verifying eligibility in real time, and streamlining the Patient Financial Clearance process — resulting in a stronger likelihood of payment and increase in point-of-service collections.
